My favourite number is 12! Now with the twelth box office weekend upon us we’re aiming for the stars! the star we’re pushing for is “Project Hail Mary”. I’m relieved that I waited for today because Deadline just confirmed my projections.
Now “Project Hail Mary” matching my high end of $71 million would be a major victory in the box office. I hope it surpasses it and can match “Dune Part Two” in the $80 million debut range. However, critically we’re looking at a major success for Ryan Gosling and I’m beyond thrilled this will be a hit.
We’re also looking at “Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come” and I’m seeing this evening. We’re looking at a lower teen debut for the sequel, but let’s see if word of mouth can make this entry perform slightly better than projected.
“Hoppers” is looking to have another strong hold this weekend and will until the next entry for “Super Mario Brothers” comes into play in two weeks. It’s a major win for Pixar and animation yet again. We’ll see how it goes.
“Reminders of Him” is looking at a strong hold this weekend as well due to the stronger counter programming of this weekend’s slate. We’re looking at Colieen Hoover’s material having yet another positive run at the box office and more anticipation building until the star-studded “Verity” debuts this fall.
