We’re finally in the home stretch! Oscars Weekend! The crowning moment of our awards season and we’re already planning the next one. I’m also getting some prep for the upcoming Emmy’s because screeners and surprises are galore. Super excited to dive into that soon. However, stay tuned for my FINAL Oscars predications tomorrow, but first box office.
First thing is “EPiC” or “Elvis Presley In Concert” getting another round of IMAX this upcoming weekend. Its sales have been steady and strong, but to see it get another IMAX run is a joy to behold. Talking about IMAX we have to focus on “Project Hail Mary” and its start on the early access screening this weekend. We’ll keep an eye out for its reception with audiences.
“Hoppers” is looking to claim the number one spot yet again. Honestly, ititss no surprise because of the strong A Cinemascore and solid debut last weekend. It should continue to hold well until the next installment of “Super Mario Galaxy” Movie to come out by the end of the month.
“Reminders of Him” releases this weekend and I had the opportunity to see it. I enjoyed it and I’ll have my review up over the weekend, but it was a pleasant surprise. I do stand by the fact that it is a bit cliche, but Maika Monroe and Tyriq Withers give in strong performances with some electric chemistry that sizzles on the screen. We’ll see how “Scream 7” and “The Bride” perform this weekend as well, but I do worry we’re looking at a steep drop for “The Bride”.
Let’s see if my projections hit or do you have any further thoughts on where this box office can go?
Stay tune for the results and check out my predications!
