BAFTA (EE British Academy Awards) Predications

How I love BAFTA! The4re’s needle turners in this awards ceremony such as “All Quiet On the Western Front” and Mikey Madison’s win for “Anora”. It can be a really nail bitter to see how the Oscars will shape up especially with the ceremony around the corner. However, there’s always the chance for disappointment such as Austin Butler’s wins for Best Actor here, but losing the Oscar or Cate Blanchett winning the BAFTA for her performance in ‘TAR’ but losing the Oscar as well.

The real nail bitters in the BAFTA race are Best Supporting Actress, Screenplay categories and Editing. I’m still hatching my wager for “F1: The Movie” taking Editing and Sound, but there’s always the surprise that could upset. Best Supporting Actress is a complete Russian roulette because I do believe Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas has the advantage, but I think Wunmi Mosaku could seriously upset in her home territory.

Screenplay categories are a little clearer with “One Battle After Another” and “Sinners” having the odds on favour, but call me mental on the potential upset of Sentimental Value” upsetting with a potential win. Also I do think Cinematography isn’t as clear because of “Train Dreams” could upset “Sinners” odds of taking the BAFTA and potentially the Oscar.

Check out my predications below, but we’ll have a pre-draft of my Oscars race after BAFTA concludes. I’m beyond excited!
