Box Office Analysis – Week 5

Fifth weekend of 2026 and I’ve been down for the count. We’re heading into a softer weekend in this domestic box office, but doesn’t mean we stop predications. We’re going into our overview for this weekend for Raimi’s ‘Send Help’!

My review for ‘Send Help’ with SPOILERS will be out tomorrow! However, it’s a pleasant surprise. It’s sharp, humorous and gives Rachel McAdams another wonderful chance to shine in her filmography. However, Dylan O’Brien continues his renaissance of complexly unlikable characters and hits the mark yet again.

Another film to note is ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ starting to settle in the dust of $1.4 billion, but my guess is that we’ll be looking at a $1.5 billion finish when we’re done. Let’s see what the final gross office will be.

Additionally, ‘The Housemaid’ is going into its seventh weekend and hitting towards.a potential $375-400 million worldwide finish. Let’s see how high it can go!

Lastly, we have Jason Statham’s newest entry in the January repertoire and that is “Shelter”. It’s looking to project in the high single digits, but we’ll see how it turns over.

Tomorrow I’ll try to record, but if not on Monday we’ll back to schedule! I’m currently out with laryngitis and my voice is still recovering. Fingers crossed!
